European Workplace Health Promotion Accreditation System - EWHPAS

The ENWHP Accreditation System aims to promote good practice in line with ENWHP principles and approach to workplace health.  Employers can apply to have their workplace health practice assessed by experts in the field and can receive support and advice from these experts to help them improve their practice.  Employers can also achieve national and international public recognition for their good practice through the publicity provided by the ENWHP.

What is it?

ENWHP have launched a new Europe-wide accreditation system for WHP.  It answers a need that has become more apparent over recent years where accreditation systems are not available in every country and where workplaces are looking for recognition of their efforts in the field.  For some, they seek consistent accreditation standards across national borders, while for others, international recognition of their activities is important.

The ENWHP Accreditation System has been developed by experts from 3 European countries with inputs also made by experts from a further 6 Member States.

The System is based on many years of experience within the ENWHP of identifying and documenting Models of Good Practice which have covered a wide range of health issues and workplace settings.  It is also based on a number of prominent and well-established national systems that have been in existence for some time.
