Objectives:
The network wants to strengthen the development and dissemination of good workplace health practices in Portugal. It aims to improve the profile of WHP and to stimulate the co-operation possible between all relevant stakeholders.
 
Structure:
The network as a national board located at the General Directorate of Health. At Regional level the network is based on the Regional Public Health Centres, and at local level on the enterprises and health centres. The network secretariat is based at the General Directorate of Health; its work will be supported by a National advisory board who will involve all relevant institutional stakeholders such as the social partners, representatives of the social and labour ministry the National School of Public Health and relevant professional associations and experts in WHP.
 
Working Methods:
The National Health Plan is the frame of reference of the national WHP network. In this context it will be created a national Programme on WHP.
The network is open to all stakeholders in workplace health promotion. This applies to enterprises as well as to networks and individuals.

  • It will be created a Directory of Models and experiences of good practice on WHP,
  • A Conference on WHP will be organised in October of 2004 and from two to two years.
  • Meetings and thematic seminars will take place accordingly to the anual activity plans
  • Email network forum of discussion.
