Founded:
2004 (as National Forum) and reconstructed as National Network in 2007

Objectives:
The HNWHP is aiming to protect and improve the health of people at their working enviroment, in enterprises and organizations of the puplic and the private sector. The Hellenic Network goal will be achieved by networking and coordinating national institutional and non- institutional stakeholders, for the improvement and strengthning of workplace health promotion activities at national level and in harmonization to the agreed policy and actions of the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP).
 
Structure:
The Hellenic WHP Network organisational strucrure is formed by:

• the National Steering Body  which is  the Center of Occupational Safety and Health (Κ.Υ.Α.Ε) of the Greek Ministry of Employment and Social Protection. Κ.Υ.Α.Ε has the formal responsidility for the organization and operation of the National WHP Network and it is also the National Contact Office of Greece.
• the National Secretariat which is the Unit of Occupational Medicine and Work Health Promotion of K.Υ.Α.Ε
• the Advisory Commitee. It is composed by representatives of social, scientific and academic institutions that are selected and invited by the National Steering Body.
• the National Network Members. The HNWHP members are public and private enterprises and organizations. About 20 enterprises, organizations and municipalities have already joined the Network.

Financial Support:
The operation of the Hellenic WHP Network has been politically and financially supported by the Greek Government through the Ministry or Employment and Social Protection.
 
Working Methods:
The Hellenic WHP Network is open to all potential national stakeholders in workplace health promotion, who fulfill the basic criteria to be entitled as "members" of the HNWHP. This applies to enterprises, organizations of private or public sector, institutions as well as networks and individuals.
The National Steering Body, the National Secretariat and the Advisory Commitee are going to jointly participate in the National Network meetings, in order to effectively plan, organise and promote the HNWHP activities.
