Labour and Mines Inspectorate

The Labour and Mines Inspectorate is the ENWHP's NCO in Luxembourg. The Inspectorate is part of the Ministry of Labour and Employment and has close links with a variety of social partners and NGO organisations and relevant government departments. The prime responsibility of the Inspectorate is to ensure the implementation of all legislation relating to working conditions and the protection of all employees, with the exception of those in the public service. Activities include the resolution of industrial disputes, monitoring of wages, hours of work and holidays and monitoring the election of employee INSPECTION DU TRAVAILET DES MINES representatives in organisations employing more than 15 people. The Inspectorate is also responsible for granting operational permits for classified activities and establishments and the production of guidance leaflets on the legal requirements covering general working conditions such as hazardous chemicals, stress, passive smoking etc.

The Labour and Mines Inspectorate of Luxembourg has been an active founding member of the ENWHP since its creation and has contributed to the projects and activities of the Network.
