Bergamo Exchange

The Exchange provides an informal group of WHP professionals ample space for exchanging knowledge and experiences. In cooperation with Prof. Giuseppe Masanotti from the University of Perugia (adviser to the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion) and dr. Roberto Moretti from ASL Bergamo (instigator of the Lombardy WHP network), this year the Exchange constitutes a visit to Bergamo (Italy) where the local government promotes health in companies and within their own institutions. The organiser of the Exchange is the Dutch Centre Work Health.

Healthy Workplaces Manage Stress Summit

"Healthy Workplaces Manage Stress" comes to a close this fall with the Healthy Workplaces Summit scheduled on 3 and 4 November 2015 in Bilbao, the home of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). Across the course of 2014 and 2015, the European Healthy Workplaces Campaign has focused on the importance of actively managing stress and psychosocial risks in the workplace and encouraging employers, managers and workers and their representatives to work together to manage those risks. The Healthy Workplaces Summit will bring together leading European experts and decision makers to discuss the results of the two-year campaign, exchange good practice and explore future strategies for managing stress and psychosocial risks in European enterprises, through plenary sessions, workshops and discussion.

European Conference on Youth Mental Health: From continuity of psychopathology to continuity of care (STraMeHS)

National Conference on Workplace Health Promotion 2014

During the second half of 2014, Italy holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In this context, INAIL (NCO Italy) organises its national information day on workplace health promotion, particularly on promoting a workplace culture of physical activity. The theme of the conference - which is duly supported by the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP) - is "Lifestyle and physical activity at work. Initiatives of the networks for workplace health promotion in Europe and in Italy". Rob Gründemann from TNO (NCO Netherlands) will represent ENWHP on the 24th of November. He will talk about "The promotion of physical activity and work".

XXII. biennial conference "Living Conditions and Health"

The conference is organized by the Slovak Society of Hygiene, the Insitute of Hygiene at the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava, the Regional Institute of Public Health in Poprad and the Slovak Society of Occupational health. The XX World Congress will be held in Frankfurt and carries the title "Global Forum for Prevention". Workshop Mental Health in the Workplace

DG Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion is conducting a study on mental health in the workplace. The study aims to analyse the suitability of the EU-OSH legal framework and to evaluate national policy measures and instruments for mental health specific risks in the workplace. Secondly, the study elaborates possible scenarios for the European Commission and finally, it generates a guidance document that addresses shortcomings.

The workshop presents the results of a Delphi study of experts in the first round and stakeholders on national and EU level in the second round, together with other outcomes of the study such as the guidance document and an interpretative note. In the afternoon, discussions will take place on a number of questions and topics arising from the results. (Participation by invitation only.)

21st international conference on "Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services"

For the program of the 21st International Conference on Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services (HPH) in May 2013, the Scientific Committee decided to focus on approaches and tools to develop more health oriented health services.

The conference will mark the 20th anniversary of the European Pilot Hospital Project of Health Promoting Hospitals (EPHP). This project came to life in 1993 with the aim to make the WHO Ottawa Charters? demand to ?reorient health services? a reality for hospitals.

After 1995, the HPH conference 2013 will be the second one hosted by the Swedish HPH network. The 2013 conference will take further discussions on health gain measurement and related topics that were initiated earlier on. Top international speakers and experts and experienced HPH practitioners will be present at this conference to discuss the topics of the day.

First Global Healthy Workplace Awards

The ENWHP encourages European employers to apply to the 1st Global Healthy Workplace Awards program. The Awards Summit will be held on April 10-12, 2013 in London. The Global Awards program follows the World Health Organization Healthy Workplace Model for Action and will recognize employers in three categories: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large enterprises (over 250 employess) and specialized programs (employers of all sizes who run a particularly innovative workplace health promotion program in some but not necessarily all of the components). The IAWHP serves on the advisory board. The application deadline is February 10, 2013.

International conference on "Occupational Health and Safety: From Policies to Practice"

Recent 10 years have brought many changes in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) systems and policies around the Baltic Sea and so the aim of the conference is to look back whether the changing policies and practices have also brought changes in workers? health and safety or in other words - have the policies been put into practice.

The conference is organised by the Latvian RSU Institute of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health and will combine plenary sessions with parallel sessions on several topics as well as poster sessions. A book of conference proceedings with full text articles will be published in spring 2013.
