ProMenPol

ProMenPol is a European project that is funded by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme and led by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). Project partners are from Germany, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Estonia, Greece and Belgium.

ProMenPol aims to support the practices and policies of mental health promotion over the 2007-2009 period in three settings: schools, workplaces and older people?s residences. To do so, ProMenPol is producing the following services and outputs:

  • Tools Database - It is developing a database of mental health promotion tools which will be of use to practitioners in the three settings. First version of the database...

  • Field trials - ProMenPol supports practitioners in implementing mental health promotion using the tools from the database. It will also help practitioners document ongoing good practice in the three settings. More information about the field trials...

  • Policy Workshops - ProMenPol runs a series of three annual policy workshops for policy makers at EU and National Level. These will provide timely feedback of information about what works in mental health promotion to those responsible for designing policy and services.

  • Practictioners Conferences - ProMenPol will run three annual conferences for practitioners, with the aim of promoting good practice in mental health promotion. More information about the conferences...

  • ProMenPol Toolkit - ProMenPol will produce a toolkit of mental health promotion tools, based on the results of the field trials. This toolkit will be made up of tools which have been demonstrated to be effective. 

  • Discussion Groups - ProMenpol runs disucssion groups for interested parties in relation to mental health promotion in schools, workplaces and residences for older people. They will be available by June 2008.
