The aim of the conference was to raise awareness on the new ENWHP project "Work. In tune with life" among Hungarian companies. In addition, the goal was to mobilize those companies who are interested in workplace health promotion, especially in the improvement of mental health. The event was jointly organized by the National Institute for Health Development and the Association for Healthier Workplaces within the framework of a long standing professional cooperation.

The conference aroused a great interest. More then one hundred and thirty people attended the event, mainly from the for-profit sector, but some social and health scientists from the research sector, public health decision makers and public health practitioners were also present. The media representation was successful, too. More than thirty media published news reports about the event and its aims.

The participants of the conference learned how to join the "Work. In Tune With Life." international program. In addition, presentations showed how important the health of employees is in today's fast changing world: investing into employee health is more than worth and is one of the key factors of company success. Finally, two useful examples of good practice were presented by Hungarian large companies who were selected as having one of the best mental health promotion programmes in our country.

We believe that the great interest was just the beginning of a long-term cooperation on mental health promotion, and some month later there will be numerous examples of good practices collected with our support.

We are very glad to inform ENWHP about the conference and would like to thank Mr. Reinhold Sochert representing ENWHP Secretariat for his excellent contribution. We are looking forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation in the future.
